Blood glucose levels rise after consumption of carbohydrates/Blood glucose levels fall during exercise.
Blood glucose levels are monitored by the pancreas.
(Blood glucose level rise):
Beta cells of the pancreas release insulin.
Insulin causes increased uptake of glucose by liver and muscles.
Insulin causes (condensation) of glucose to glycogen in liver and muscle
(Blood glucose level fall):
Alpha cells of the pancreas release glucagon.
Glucagon causes (hydrolysis) of glycogen to glucose in liver which is released into the blood.

Glucagon and insulin are antagonistic hormones.
Control is by negative feedback/as the hormone returns glucose levels to the set point
production of the hormone decreases.
