[问答题]
Compare spontaneous emission to stimulated emission.
参考答案: Spontaneous emission occurs when an electron is in an excited state of an atom and it spontaneously (with no external stimulus) drops back down to a lower energy level. To do this, it emits a photon to carry away the excess energy. Stimulated emission occurs when an electron is in an excited state of an atom but a photon strikes the atom and causes or stimulates the electron to make its transition to a lower energy level sooner than it would have done so spontaneously. The stimulating photon has to have the same energy as the difference in energy levels of the transition.
